Love to be Wet:
I inititally started shaving using the Bumpfighter disposable razor (Walmart) every day. Now that my skin has grown accustomed to the
shaving, I use the disposable razor, Silk Effects. I never shave with the same blade more than twice and don't use it on any other part of my body (just pubes). I like to soak in a tub full of warm water for about 20 minutes
if I have the time. Before I shave, I rub "Bath & Body Works" hair conditioner on my pubes. I use the conditioner in place of shaving gel. This seems to soften the pubes and helps blade to glide over the skin. I
pull skin tight in areas (such as inner lips) to avoid nicks and cuts. I shave in the direction of hair growth. (Every time I shave against the grain, I develop bumps. I've learned the hard way.) Make short strokes and rinse
blade often. I try not to go over an area too much and try not to apply too much pressure. After shaving, I use exfoliate scrub over the pubic area above the pubic bone (if I develop bumps, that's where they will be). This
helps to avoid ingrowns and decreases the chance of bumps. I then rinse really well using a hand held shower- head attachment to get a really close rinse. It feels great too ;) My water toy has three settings: spray, pulse, and
spray/pulse combo. ;) I'll bet you can guess the rest of my "in the shower" routine. After drying, I apply a hydrocortisone cream. I apply the cream every morning and before bed - - only if there is no possibility
of sex. Have a great shave and KISS (Keep It Super Smooth)!

Kibble:
People have been shaving to remove hair for literally thousands of years, and we are able to use their accumulated knowlege to the fullest advantage.
First you have to realize that the hair on our
bodies grows in different directions. To test this you can use an electric trimmer to get the hair as short as possible then run your hand over the stubble. You'll need to do this before shaving anyway. The stubble is rougher
when running against the direction of growth.
The next step in the process is getting the equipment together. You'll need a new razor blade, assuming you use disposable blades. The Mach 3 or a Sensor Excel are good
choices here. The shaving cream you use for your face might be a good choice, but I prefer to use Skintimate products for the body. I currently use the Creamy Exfoliating formula since it doesn't wash off as easily in the
shower where I shave. (I can't say how well it exfoliates, but it is a very good shaving cream.) If you go to some health food stores or beauty salons, you might be able to pick up a natural loofah. (A natural sponge usually
from China.) I found them years ago in food stores in Dallas, but I don't live there anymore. You can certainly exfoliate the skin with them without a lot of irritation. Scotch Bright makes some soft pads which will work,
however. (Just make sure that you get a soft pad! The roughest ones will take the skin off - quickly.) The last item on your shopping list should be a good skin conditioner for use after shaving. Some people swear by a vitamin
E lotion and others an Aloe Vera one. I don't like feeling greasy all day so use a Johnson & Johnson product called Clean & Clear: a nongreasy product from the acne section of the
pharmacy. (Get the moisturizer if you purchase it since there are several preparations with that name.)
Once you have all the items in hand you'll need to take a regular warm shower using your normal soap. This will make
the hairs softer. A cool, not cold rinse is recommended. You can then start shaving in the shower. Apply the shaving cream, and shave in the direction of the growth of the hair. Shaving across the grain is alright, but never
shave against it. You'll get those nasty, itchy red bumps for sure if you do. For the beginner, a couple of strokes over the same area is recommended using only a medium pressure. You only want to remove hair, not the skin.
Also the skin is going to be sensitive to having cold steel against it for a number of months. It has to get used to it, but this does take a while. Holding the skin taut will also help get the smoothest shave possible when
shaving. Don't expect the area to baby's bottom smooth, however. There will always be stubble after shaving, and it seems to feel worse when wet.
After shaving you'll need to use that loofah over the newly cleaned up
area. It's best to do that in the shower since the work best when wet. Some people will also use soap with it. The main idea is to scrub in a circular manner. This allows the hair stubble to emerge from beneath the skin if it
has pulled back, and prevent some ingrowns. It also removes some dead skin cells that might block the channels the hair will use to grow out - exfoliating!
Now you can step out, and dry off. Once you're dry, the skin
conditioner can be applied. It might be a good idea to apply it twice a day, but you'll be able to figure out what's right for you.
Shaving can be done every couple of days for a while rather than daily. This will also
help the skin become acclimated to being shaved. If the red bumps or a skin rash develop, it's best not to shave over the area until the condition clears up.

Aardvark:
Do you want a smooth pussy? Here's how I've been ridding myself of prickly pear: 1. Fill the tub half-way, so that when you're lying down, your twat is just
above water level. Use a temperature that you find relaxing.
2. (YOU'RE STILL OUTSIDE OF THE TUB) trim excess hair, leaving a quarter-inch or so. If you don't pre-trim, you will have a hell of a time with a clogged razor.
3. Now get in the water! Expand your pores and follicles by soaking a small towel in the water and draping it across your nether region. Give yourself at least 5 or 10 minutes.
4. Now for the fun! Lather
yourself up with shaving creme (I prefer Barbisol Menthol - it feels all tingly afterwards), feeling which direction your hair grows. Usually, you'll need to shave upwards, toward your torso. The labia is more complicated, and
involves stretching the skin out flat and shaving towards your inner thigh. You may want to have someone else take care of that - you can get a nasty cut!
Above all, TAKE YOUR TIME! You will probably know that if you
shave your legs, that if you rush it, you'll most likely end up with a nasty scrape or gash.
5. Keep well lathered at all times! This avoids painful razor burn. Also, be sure to rinse your razor every couple of swipes -
it tends to get extremely clogged.
6. Afterwards, rinse with cool water - hot will lead to greater irritation. Pat dry, and smooth some cream in (I have a little jar of Apricot kernel oil cream which works nicely, and
smells sweet and romantic). Don't rub too hard - you'll irritate your newly exposed skin.
7. Don't shave everyday! Shave every three days, at the most. It's just too irritating.
8. Expect some redness and
itchiness when your hair grows out. Keeping yourself well moisturized will minimize ingrown hair. If you do get an ingrown hair, don't shave it! You'll
bleed! Apply antiseptic. You may attempt to pluck it out, but it may get nasty.
9. Don't have intercourse immediately afterwards, and rinse with cool water afterwards - semen tends to irritate freshly shaven pussy.
10. Otherwise, enjoy your new sensation!
11. About underwear - if the elastic is too tight, you may be easily irritated through the day.

Posted by PonyTail Shaver on November 04, 1997 at 17:45:59: Several of you were intrigued by my references to aardvark's instructions, so I cast about all over the 'net
today, and found no hint of aardvark's shaving tips, so I'm going to go over my somewhat modified version. I did manage to find aardvark herself, and sent mail asking for her exact instructions. If she sends them to me, I'll
post 'em here. This thing sort of turned into a tomb while I was writing it. I wanted to be exhaustive, and I think I've achieved that.
First, let me be more specific about my experience level. I first shaved in 1980
(at age 15). Between 1980 and 1989, I probably shaved about a dozen times. From 1989 to now, I've had less than the 'natural' amount of pubic hair about half the time. Also, in that time frame, I've had zero hair from armpits
down about three times (never for very long). That being said, do understand that Your Mileage May Vary. Aardvark's instructions weren't perfect for me, so
I modified them to better suit my and my wife's bodies. You may well have to do the same with these. So, let's get to the point: =========================================================
Pony Tail Shaver's Mods To Aadvark's Shaving Instructions ========================================================= The Trim ======== The first step is to trim all the hair. This can either be done with the trimmer
attachment to an electric razor, or with scissors. If you use scissors, take your time, and cut close (but not too close) to the skin. If you use a trimmer, then be careful not to get too close to the skin. Both
scissors and a trimmer can hurt a lot when they cut.
The Soak ======== Next, run as hot a bath as you can possibly stand. I do this by making the water feel Pretty Damned Hot, and then getting in while it's
running. I then gradually make it hotter until it's really as hot as I can stand at all. If you're a guy, then your scrotum should be loose as hell from all this heat. If it's not--make it hotter. Once the tub is fairly full,
soak in the tub for a while. This does two things: it relaxes you, and softens up the hair follicles and the hair--both of which will make for a much better shave. Stay in the tub for a good long while, and as the water cools
down, add more full-on hot water (again until it's at the limit of what you can stand). All this hot water is one of the most important steps in these instructions. If you don't have access to a bathtub, take a really long
hot shower and then soak in a Rubbermaid (or any other brand) tub that's filled will really hot water.
The Shave ========= Once you've become one big prune, then it's time to shave (this should be at least twenty
minutes). You should be nicely relaxed now, too. Before beginning the shave, drain the tub so that when you're laying down in it as low as you can, your pubic area is just barely under water. That way, you can raise up for
lathering and shaving and lay down or splash to rinse. Razor I use a Gillette Sensor razor. I've tried many (including my wife's Personal Touch), and have found this razor to be superior to all the others I've tried. I
have not tried any razor that went on sale after this one was on the market, so there may be better razors now. Shaving Cream For shaving cream, I use a bristle brush with a mixture of whatever pieces of soap are too
small to use thrown in the bottom of the cup I use to make the lather. Edge shaving cream is good, and I've recently tried squirting a bit of my wife's Aveeno shaving cream (really great stuff) into the mug on top of the soap
I've tossed in there. Note that we don't use any deodorant soaps in our house, so these soaps are like Dove, Ivory, and I particularly like that transparent sepia colored soap whose name escapes me now. I've also been known
to pump a little SoftSoap into the cup, too. How to work up a lather with a bristle brush is best left to another forum, because I don't think this is an especially important part of the process (even though I've run on at
length about it). I'm pretty sure any shaving cream will do. Order I usually start by shaving my scrotum/my wife's labia including the perianal area either way. I have found much similarity in the shaving properties of
my scrotum/penis and my wife's labia, and both of these are similar to the perianal area on either of us. After the scrotum/labia, I shave a little ways down the legs (just the part where scrotum/labia touch(s) them while
seated). I refer to that part as the minimal leg area. Next, I shave the pubic area in three steps: First from outer to center on one side, and then the other. I'll refer to this a the upper pubic area. This does not include
the area immediately above the penis/clitoris (about 1 inch/1.25 cm). That's the last step, and I'll refer to it as the Lower Pubic area. Razor Strokes The shaving process is generally to take one very small stroke with
the razor (no more than 1.5 inches/2.25 cm) and then get all the hair out of it by putting it in water and running my thumb down across the blades (with the slant of the razor blades--not against--OUCH). Remember to pull the
razor at a 90-degree angle to the blade, and to make sure the skin is stretched tight while pulling the razor. Sideswipes cut no matter what! I have generally found that pulling the razor against the hair growth
results in a closer shave, but more bumps/ingrowns, while pulling the razor across the growth with a less close shave and less bumps/ingrowns, with the last being
with the growth with the least close shave and the least bumps/ingrowns. Penis/Scrotum/Labia/Perianal Shaving I have not found a bad way to shave my scrotum/penis, my wife's labia, or either perianal area. The skin seems
a lot more resistant to bumps/ingrowns than the other areas listed above, so I usually go against the growth in this area. Of course, YMMV, so be careful. I use one razor blade for these areas, and throw it away when done. In
order to really get the perianal area when I'm shaving myself, I have to do it last because I have to get out of the tub and put one foot on the sink and one on the floor. Upper Pubic Shaving As noted above I treat the
upper pubic area as two parts. I use one blade for each part, and throw it away when I'm done. To shave this part, I pull across the hair growth (from side inward to center). Be sure to avoid lower pubic area during this part.
When you've finished one half move on to the other. Lower Pubic Shaving This is the most tricky area for me (either shaving myself or my wife). I use very short ( < 0.5 inches / 1.25 cm) strokes here, and always pull
the razor with the growth of the hair. See notes below for how I made this area easier on myself. I use a new blade at the start of this, and if I'm shaving one of the areas listed below, I usually use the same blade on it as I
did here.
